Welcome to The Pianology! Please complete this registration in full. We look forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve your musical goals!

The Pianology studio policy:

Payment policies:

  1. 4 lessons per month will be billed by default.

  2. Lesson fees are non-refundable and billed monthly at the start of each month, with payments due by the 14th. A late fee of $20/month will be imposed for payments received after the 14th.

  3. Lesson fees do not cover lesson materials (books, sheet music etc.).

  4. Lesson payments cannot be carried forward to the following months or deducted from future bills.

Lesson policies:

  1. Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons.

  2. There will be no lesson during public holidays and The Pianology school breaks (refer to our school calendar). Makeup lessons can be arranged during the school breaks if there are outstanding lessons to be completed. Otherwise, no regular lessons will be scheduled during the school breaks.

  3. A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for absences. Failure to provide notice will result in forfeiture of the lessons unless supported by documented evidence (e.g. a medical certificate or other proof of an emergency) submitted before the original lesson time.

  4. Makeup lessons must be rescheduled and completed within 2 months or at a mutually agreed time, subject to teacher availability. Missed makeup lessons will be forfeited and will not be rescheduled. Group lessons are not eligible for makeup; instead the students in group lessons may attend via Google Meet.

  5. Holiday Breaks (Up to 2 Weeks): If your child will be away for up to 2 weeks, no payment is required, with at least 2 weeks' notice. If the absence extends beyond 2 weeks, the additional missed lessons will be considered makeup lessons and must be scheduled within the standard makeup lesson policy. This policy does not apply for any group classes.

  6. Students preparing for major school exams (PSLE, O-Levels, A-Levels, N-Levels) may take a break of up to 2 months without lesson fees during this period.

Termination of lessons:

  1. The Pianology requires a written withdrawal notice via WhatsApp at least 4 lessons in advance.

  2. Informing a teacher or simply not attending classes does not constitute an official withdrawal from lessons.

Other policies:

  1. Parents are highly encouraged to be present during the lesson so that they can help the child to practice at home.

  2. Any damage to the studio instruments/facilities caused by the student will be the responsibility of the student or the student's parents to repair or replace.

  3. The teacher reserves the right to end the lesson early if the student comes to class unprepared repeatedly.

  4. The teacher reserves the right to terminate lessons for any student who demonstrates disrespectful behavior.

  5. The school may photograph or record the students during the lesson or events and may use the materials for promotional or archival purposes.

  6. All studio policies are subject to change at the discretion of the school.
