Poom Prommachart is a distinguished pianist and educator, currently serving as Program Leader for BA (Hons) in Music Performance at Sunway University. In this role, he shares his expertise and passion for music with students, guiding them to achieve their full potential. As a renowned pianist, Poom has been designated as a Steinway Artist, a prestigious recognition of his exceptional artistry and technical mastery.

 

Poom's impressive performance career has earned him numerous accolades. He received the Best Solo Performance Instrumental award at the BOH Cameronian 18th Arts Awards in 2023, acknowledging his outstanding performance. Additionally, he won the grand prize at the Orford Music Award in 2020, a prestigious Canadian music competition. These awards demonstrate Poom's dedication to his craft and his ability to captivate audiences worldwide.

 

Poom's achievements extend beyond his recent awards. He was awarded the gold medal at the Isidor Bajic International Piano Competition in 2010, an esteemed international competition in Serbia. This early recognition of his talent has been followed by a successful performance career, with appearances at notable concert halls and collaborations with renowned orchestras. Through his teaching and performing, Poom continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of musical talent.
